National Dog Day

Gamut and CoxReps Dog Day

Celebrating our best friends on #NationalDogDay!

National Dog Day is in its 11th year (77th doggy year!) and “serves to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year, and acknowledges family dogs and dogs that work selflessly each day to save lives, keep us safe and bring comfort.” We at Gamut and CoxReps couldn’t agree more, and wanted to share photos of our best friends with the world on this day. We received over 50 submissions from the Gamut and CoxReps families, featured in the collage above!

We also wanted to point out a few quick insights to go with our adorable dog pictures, shared by our proud dog owners.  Using data from Experian Simmons, one of our data partners, we found that dog owners across the nation are more likely to use and interact with social network and sharing platforms than others.  Other than posting photos of their dogs often on Instagram or Facebook, dog owners are 17% more likely to use social sharing / networking websites to tell friends about companies or products that they like.  They’re also 15% more likely to discuss posts or photos on social websites in face-to-face conversations, and 14% more likely to access social networks across multiple platforms and devices. Probably scrolling through Dogs of Instagram quite often!

In honor of the occasion, Gamut has also made a donation to the North Shore Animal League.  North Shore Animal League America has rescued, rehabilitated and adopted over 1, 000, 000 animals to date, as well as saved an average of 18, 000 dogs, cats, puppies and kittens annually with many of these animals being subject to abuse.  We encourage you to donate, and of course, show your dog some extra love today!
